Kawasaki rose

Origami Kawasaki rose blue Origami Kawasaki rose red

This rose was designed by Toshikazu Kawasaki. The roses in the pictures are folded from a single square sheet of paper (red rose, both blossom and leaf: 20 x 20 cm, blue rose: 15 x 15 cm), respectively. The red rose measures 5 x 3 x 5 cm, but the size may vary depending on how it is folded. With a little practice, it can be folded in about ten minutes. The origami rose as well as the leaf both have a symmetrical shape which is often found in nature. You can achieve different growing stages of roses by varying the final folding steps and shaping the edges towards the center. The rose also makes an excellent little gift.
There is a different rose designed by Kawasaki presented below, which is based on a tilted grid and gives the impression of an even more twisted center.

Origami Kawasaki rose - new rose For roses in a glass, red, yellow, green, blue

Rose, designed by Toshikazu Kawasaki, folded from a square sheet of paper (15 x 15 cm). The size of the rose itself is 4 x 3 x 4 cm.

This rose takes about 30-40 minutes to fold, which is significantly longer than the other Kawasaki rose presented here. Although this rose is somewhat more complicated to fold, the two roses share a lot of similarities, like the highly symmetrical structure, the same twisting technique to form the center, and the twisted and layered arrangement of the petals.
